Sean Clarke was presented with an Innovative Showroom Award at the 2017 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Orlando, FL last week. The award, which honors the best showrooms in the kitchen and bath industry, cited Clarke's newest Sub-Zero & Wolf Showroom and Test Kitchen at 7 Tide in Boston Seaport for its innovative, unique and interactive showroom design.

This puts the capstone on a trio of 2016 awards for Clarke, highlighting not only the newest showroom at 7 Tide, but also the regional distribution leader's investment in its Mobile Showroom and remodeling of its showroom in South Norwalk, CT.Screen Shot 2017-02-06 at 9.44.22 AM.png

Clarke's Mobile Showroom Won 2016 BRAGB Prism Award

In October, Clarke's unprecedented Mobile Sub-Zero & Wolf Showroom and Test Kitchen won the Judge's Choice Award from the Builders and Remodeler's Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB) for Most Innovative Project. The project was driven by Sean Clarke's vision of providing discerning homeowners throughout the region the opportunity to experience the latest in technology from Sub-Zero and Wolf. Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer Tom Kelly of TRK Design Company helped envision the extraordinary contemporary interior, which packs an entire showroom experience into just 400 square feet.

The completely gutted and remodeled 1980s passenger bus now sports Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, which are used to cook for charity events, as well as food festivals and other events frequented by trade and homeowners interested in the best cooking and food preservation. One of the highlights of the design is the retrofit of the luggage hold under the bus being reimagined as a pull-out compartment revealing a Wolf Outdoor Gas Grill. Coupled with an overhead canopy, this feature allowed Clarke to provide lunch for more than 100 contractors working on One Dalton, soon to be Boston's tallest residential building. Clarke's SoNo Showroom Wins 2016 KBDN & HOBI Awards

While Clarke was heavily focused on opening the 7 Tide showroom in Boston Seaport, there was an equal passion for remodeling the entry and signature kitchens in their Sub-Zero & Wolf Showroom and Test Kitchen in South Norwalk, CT. The results won a Best Showroom Award in the first annual Kitchen & Bath Design News Design Awards competition. Just months later, the same South Norwalk showroom upgrades earned SoNo Showroom Marco Barallon, along with Designers Vincent Capello of Putnam Design and the design team at Front Row Kitchens a Home Building Industry (HOBI) Award for Best Showroom from the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Connecticut. Both awards focused on the idea that innovative remodeling of the front end of Clarke's location actually made the showroom feel totally new.HOBI.jpg

Clarke's 7 Tide Showroom & Test Kitchen Highlighted as 2017 Industry Innovation Leader

The KBIS Innovative Showroom Award, which honors the best showrooms in the kitchen and bath industry, cited Clarke's newest Sub-Zero & Wolf Showroom and Test Kitchen at 7 Tide in Boston Seaport for its innovative, unique and interactive showroom design.

"The KBIS Innovative Showroom Awards have become a coveted award among showrooms, and an honored KBIS tradition. We’re thrilled to continue this tradition in Orlando,” said Brian Pagel, VP Kitchen and Bath Group, Emerald Expositions. “It’s important to recognize those showrooms that take the time to educate customers, allowing them to truly experience each product as they plan a new kitchen or bath project.”

As part of the KBIS focus on new trends, Sean Clarke was asked to participate in an "Innovative Showroom Panel," where finalists discussed how to deliver an excellent customer experience in the ever-changing landscape of showroom design and technology.KBIS Panel.jpg

More to Come in 2017

Never resting on their laurels, the Clarke team is currently completely reconfiguring and remodeling the Milford, MA Headquarters Showroom and Test Kitchen. This exciting project takes all that was learned in the 7 Tide plan and reimagines in as a whole new vision of Sub-Zero and Wolf. In addition, the 7 Tide Showroom is currently being expanded to almost double its size. Both showrooms are on target for Spring 2017 openings.
